ZIPS Car Wash Presents $92,000 Donation to Folds of Honor

ZIPS 20th Anniversary + Customer Donations Recognized at Dallas Ceremony

ZIPS Car Wash and Folds of Honor Final Donation Ceremony

Plano, TX – (November 18, 2024)— ZIPS Car Wash was proud to partner with the University of Texas Arlington ROTC and the Dallas Police Department to host a Flag Raising Ceremony at its newly remodeled ZIPS Car Wash in Dallas at 3505 Northwest Highway at 10am on Wednesday, November 13th in its final stop on the ZIPS 20th Anniversary Give Back Tour. Following the flag raising, ZIPS recognized its 20th Folds of Honor student scholarship recipient for 2024, announced the total donations made to Folds of Honor by customers across the country and ZIPS, and offered free giveaways, Tiff’s Treats, and Black Rifle Coffee to attendees at the event.

“Our customers have helped us raise over $72,000 for student scholarships since our anniversary celebration kicked off on June 4, 2024, and we are proud to reveal our total donation amount of over $92,000 and to gift it to such a deserving organization who support military families across the country,” said Rebecca Latacz, Chief Marketing Officer, ZIPS Car Wash. “It’s our goal to honor U.S. service men and women through our flag raising ceremony and recognize Kylie Jackson, our 20th Folds of Honor scholarship recipient, for her family’s sacrifice in service to our country,” she added.

Kylie Michelle Jackson is the daughter of US Army Major Karras Kenyetta Jackson, who served 24 years in the US Army. Kylie is from Cedar Hill, TX, and is a Senior at Bishop Dunne Catholic School. After graduation, she plans to major in nursing and become a NICU nurse, fulfilling her lifelong dream. Her father specialized in Health Service Material and was deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

ZIPS 20th Anniversary celebration started in March by giving away 20 ZIPS Unlimited Wash Club Memberships, 20,000 free car washes, and wraps up with a $20,000 donation to Folds of Honor from the company. ZIPS and customers raised over $2,000 through ZIPS app downloads on key military holidays since June.  The ZIPS Car Wash app is available for free download from the App Store on IOS and the Google Play Store on Android.

ZIPS has spent its 20th Anniversary honoring 20 students across the country with a $1,000 scholarship at sporting events, re-grand openings of ZIPS remodeled locations, and ZIPS Car Wash Convos™ filming days. Folds of Honor is proud to have a cumulative average ratio of 91% of donations supporting their scholarship program. Folds of Honor and ZIPS Car Wash have pledged to stand in the gap financially for military families as they take the next step, even amid sacrifice, to further their education.
